Junior Authors was started by Author, Publisher and Empowerment Speaker JaQuan Postell. JaQuan has written 5 books, a middle school curriculum and published many more. She has more than 12 years of experience in formal education ranging from Elementary School to High School and over 15 years of experience facilitating programs for “At Risk” children, adolescents, and young adults. Her 5th book, Stuck in the Middle is an in-class relationship building program for middle school students. The Stuck in the Middle curriculum is currently being facilitated in Montgomery, and Prebble County middle schools. JaQuan's goal is to publish as many young writers as possible. It is her prayer that Ohio becomes the training ground on how to creatively inspire, train and lead young writers to publishing success.
Matthew (Salt) Postell is a Graphic Designer and Children's Book Illustrator. While in school Matthew was chosen out of thousands of his peers to attend Warner Brothers Animation classes. Matthew later attended the Art Institute of Atlanta and majored in Computer Animation & Design. Matthew has illustrated several children's books and created hundreds of logos, covers and illustrations for his graphic clients. Matthew loves teaching beginners the ins and outs of creating. Matthew teaches art from a spiritual standpoint. He reminds his students that "messing up" is apart of the journey and like God's restoration power, art can be restored.
